Summer Project 2018





2 – 13 July

A mixture of home-days and away trips! Swimming on many evenings in local pool. The project is open to members & non members who are in Junior Infants on 3 July 2017, up to and including 6th class.

Over 87% of parents who answered our survey said they would recommend the project to a friend or neighbour.  And over 88% of parents who answered our survey thought the camp offered excellent value for money. Here is what some of the parents said about our Summer Project in 2018:

Swimming in Willow Park on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and  Thursday of both weeks

Parents/guardians must stay on site for duration of swimming session.

6-8 year olds 6:30pm – 7:15pm

9+                    7:30pm – 8:15pm

  • Children are only permitted to swim with the age groups listed above.
  • Children must be able to manage in pool on their own.
  • No adults allowed in the changing room.
  • No shampoo allowed in showers.
  • No spectators allowed poolside.
  • Mobile phone free zone.
  • Swimming hat must be worn.


Summer project is for children attending primary school.



Members: €140 first child, €120 for each additional child
Non-members: €170 first child, €150 for each additional child

The Summer Project is for 2 weeks. Full subscriptions only with no pro rata option.


Full refund up to May 31, 2018.




  • BPYC summer project is run by parents/guardians of children in the youth club on a voluntary basis.
  • All parents/guardians are requested to supervise for at least one day
  • All supervisors must be vetted by Crosscare.
  • If you are unable to supervise on any of the days another person is permitted to supervise in your place.
  • Anyone who has completed the Garda vetting process by Crosscare is permitted to supervise.
  • If you are unable to supervise and unable to find another Garda vetted person to supervise in your place please contact a member of the BPYC committee to discuss in confidence.

Teenagers are welcome to help out at the summer project or Youth Club activities as Youth Leaders. Youth Leaders must be aged 16 or 17, Youth Leaders do not need to complete Garda Vetting. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a Youth Leader, please email
